What would you expect a stay at a bed & breakfast to be like? Things have changed over the years, from sharing a bathroom and having to sit at a big table with people you don’t know, curfew to get in your room. I can’t speak for all b&b’s as some very traditional ones are still in operation and do a great job of hosting their guest.
We however, are much different, in that we offer private cottages. Back 20 years ago when we were talking about doing a b&b, we traveled and stayed in many to see what we liked and didn’t like about each one. Many notes were taken and we decided we preferred to have a little more privacy and not feel we were closed in to other guests.

With that, we started our first build and it was the Oak Cottage. To this day, it is still my very favorite little cottage. It looks out into the woods and sits behind our main house. The rock porch has a great view to enjoy birds, deer and other Texas wildlife going by in the woods. It’s private hot tub and fire pit make it even more of a peaceful getaway.
So when you come stay with us, you can expect lots of peace and privacy in this cottage. We will greet you and check you in, telling you about the property, where the trail is, the game room and all about delivering breakfast to you each morning of your stay. We love sending guest to the local favorite eating places and wineries and of course local shops. Once you are settled into your cottage, we give you lots of space, here if you need us, but not bothering you.
