One of the places we love to send our guest for a fun meal is to the Runaway Train Cafe. It is located inside an old train dinner car and has the fun feel of riding the rails as you enjoy your meal. They offer a selection of burgers, salads, soups and lots more.
My favorite is either the Blue Cheese burger with crispy fries or the Grilled Chicken Salad with Blue cheese dressing. If you really want the works, then add on a Blue Bell milkshake, but don’t blame me if you can’t walk out the door.

Kim and her crew are great folks and very family oriented, you can expect to probably see one of Kim’s 5 boys helping out around the train. They are open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 8pm. Our guest always enjoy a great hearty meal at the Runaway Train, so add this to your list of places to dine while staying with us and visiting Brownwood.
