Seems like it should be a big deal what the bed is like at a bed & breakfast, don’t you agree? We have stayed at many places and the bed either makes or breaks a good nights stay. One place we stayed, we had to pull the mattress on the floor because it was so worn down, we kept rolling to the center of the bed. Another was so hard, it was like sleeping on the wood floor.
I know a bed is very personal preference for folks. Some like soft, some hard, some want to sink down into the covers and get lost in the bedding. After having guests for 27 years now, we finally came to the best decision to do memory foam firm as it has good give, but also support. Most people seem to like that.
But there is more to a bed than the mattress. What about the headboard and what it represents? Don hand forged our beautiful headboard for the Oak Cottage when we opened. The beautiful queen iron head board is textured to look like bark and each leaf cut and shaped to represent an Oak leaf. This beauty has added so much to the looks of the special little Oak Cottage.
