Mr. Don and I took off a few days this past week to have a little getaway, so we ventured to the southern part of the Hill country. We stayed at a very delightful Inn, very well appointed and nice landscaping. We truly needed some rest up time, so after we got checked in and started to unwind some, we quickly realized that we would be hearing road traffic the entire time that we would be there. Oh wow!!
We often have guest coming from the city tell us, they can’t believe how peaceful and quiet it is here at our bed & breakfast. Well, we know that, but often forget just how peaceful our little 20 acres of heaven really is. We hear the night noises of critters and in the day the fluttering of birds and leaves rustling. Guest a few weeks ago, were here from the Panhandle and could not believe how many Cardinal Red birds we have in our yard on a daily basis.
I love nature and am not one to take for granted how awesome our place is. I try to sit in the sun on the porch every day, I fill the bird feeders to enjoy them swooping in for a bite to eat. Our slumbering cats come curl up and want a little back rub from me.
So, I guess my point is, if you live a really busy and demanding life. If you live in the city where the noise of traffic and sounds of industry are a constant, then we invite you to come for a true peaceful getaway. Couples need down time together, we have games in the gift shop for you to use, fire rings to enjoy an evening fire, or watch the stars from your private hot tub.
